I came across this poster, and of course, just as they wanted me to be, I was immediately drawn in by it's initial message. "You're kidding me..." I thought to myself when first laying eyes on it. "They're not allowed to have any posters on campus?" "How do they get the word out about school events, clubs, etc." It made me think of how many posters we have around our school at USF, in fact so many we probably don't even think twice about what it would be like if they were NOT there. It would be so difficult to communicate with such mass numbers of people throughout the school if we were not allowed to put up any posters advertising the next school event, tutoring help, or a new club. But, clearly the point of the large, capitalized font was to draw in the reader first so that they WANT to look at the poster, and then they can read between the lines which totally alters the actual message, where it is not really saying anything about not being allowed to have posters on campus. Very effective.
