I was on my way home the other night, and happened to sit in a seat on the muni where this bright pink, Nike advertisement was staring right at me. It was such a simple ad, literally just saying "Surface" in the center of the ad in a very plain and simple san serif font, and in the bottom right hand corner it tiny lettering with matching font said "Nike". Though this ad is not really saying anything, at all, does not even have a picture of a product being sold, it simply just says one word, it still seemed to work on me. It made me want to go look up Nike shoes and try and find a pair that was that exact color pink with some white details on it. Sometimes, the simpler an advertisement is, makes it more effective because it leaves it up for interpretation of the viewer, thus not limiting their thoughts to any specific product that they may or may not like.
