It seems as though there is plenty of typography found around bus shelters and buses themselves, whether it is something that is supposed to be there or not. I was waiting for the 31 the other day right by school and saw this very tiny sign that read in a very large, bold, san serif typeface, "WARNING:" at the top and followed by smaller font that was still in all caps read, "we party really, really hard". I thought this was funny, because the font used to write the word "warning" is the typical font that is not only used when displaying some type of precaution, but it is also beneficial for the reader because it is a bold, simple font that grabs your attention with no extra distractions and it really seems to mean "business". This also reminds me of one of those scenarios where you hear a young child trying to trick someone by attempting to get them all excited by saying "GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT?!" And when someone finally asks them "what?" They just say "nothing." Thinking that it is the most clever joke in the world. That is what this little poster reminds me of, it boldly and annoyingly grabs your attention with the bold, white writing and red background, to the point where you feel as though you must read on, just for it to tell you that they party "really, really hard".
